Pontiac's Rebellion Proves To Be A Violent Reminder That We Unfortunately Aren't Alone On the Continent

Dear Editor:

The Pontiac Rebellion started in 1763 and ended in 1764. The people involved were the French, British, and Indians. Pontiac was a Ottawa Chief of the Native American group . The Pontiac Rebellion started after the French and Indian War, and was located in the 13 colonies. How it was started was because the British were always trying to come on the Indians' land, and this made them furious! Also, because the French did lose the French and Indian War, they wanted to fight back because of their loss. The Americans began to revolt against the British. Both the French and British each had American allies, and the French forces brought the British into North America. A quote said the the Ottawa Chief, Pontiac was, "It is important for us, my brothers, that we exterminate from our lands this nation which seeks only to destroy us...Therefore, my brothers, we must all swear their destruction and wait no longer." -Pontiac. After the Rebellion ended in 1764, the British did win the fight! By: Aubrey Norris & Vanessa Lynn!(: 8th Period

Do you hate getting pushed around? If so, you should join Pontiac. Pontiac was tired of getting pushed around by the English and the colonists so they decided to revolt. This all started by Britain not letting the colonists expand there territory. So in the colonists response they attack innocent natives. After Pontiac heard this he decided to revolt. The natives decide to kill the colonist. In the defense of Britain and the colonists they fight back and starts a war over this problem. In the end the colonists win and move farther into the Indian's land.
